Umut Karaman is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer based in Turkey - Ankara.

She was born in 1976 in Ankara. In 1999, she graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Design. For many years she worked as a visual designer in the software industry.
She loved drawing since very young age. She took part in various projects, mainly in the field of fashion and design with illustrations.

Paşabahçe, Nude Glass, Vogue, Mavi Jeans, Crate & Barrel, Zubizu, Gara Guzu, Jameson, Les Benjamins, Lösev, Birce Akalay, Nif Bağları, Tuba Ünsal and Ayşe Kulin are some of the brands and names she worked for.
Besides her work for brands, illustrations for the children’s book “The Fifth Season”, published in 2008 by Tudem Publishing Company, belong to Umut Karaman.

She won the Archiproducts Design Awards 2020 with her Nude Glass Rock & Pop Collection in Milan, Italy.
Currently, under the brand name Yumidoko, she has been working in fashion and children’s book field.
